What if the Tower of Pisa collapsed? will we have to rebuild it?

I often ask myself these questions. I can't imagine a world without the Colosseum or the Eiffel Tower. When I think about it my mind doesn't stop thinking whether or not it is right to rebuild these which are not just monuments of inestimable value, but something more. Something that if it no longer exists, would change the face of a city forever. Something that we would miss dearly and that perhaps we would want to build but which would no longer be the same as before.
